   It depends. If they stop buying product/service and their customers and downline stop then yes. Also if there is a qualification you have to meet to get residuals and those key people are the ones that are keeping you qualified then yes.

   If their other distributors and customers stay and them leaving is not going to affect any qualifications then there’s nothing to worry about other than the fact that you lost some people.

   If this is a problem maybe you should consider another MLM that doesn’t require the qualification and isn’t a "me too" company that people will leave when the next fad comes along.

   Yes it’s possible, I’ve done MLM in the past 15 years and to be honest I saw a lot of leaders change from one MLM company to another and bring most of their team with them.
